The original list was in the handwriting of a single person who recorded the names of the voters with first name, followed by last name. The names were entered in the order the votes were cast. This list has been sorted by last name. The numbers reflect the voting order. The list was sorted by Robert W. Scott (July 2001) Abbreviations of first names are in the original. The original is held by the Jefferson County Historical Society. One spelling anomaly of note is the use of the f to represent a double “ss” as “fs” or an intervocalic “s” as “f” in several names.
