Early History of Madison and Jefferson County

The following articles of history were compiled by the Current Events Club of Madison, Indiana. No date is given for the compiled works, nor is it written where they obtained the articles, although the typing is from an old typewriter. From notes found in the transcriptions, I would imagine the date to be around 1915. I place it here for the convenience of those interested, but cannot vouche for its' accuracy.
